The exhibition "Canned Candies: The Nudes of Jean Clemmer" launched last week at the new pop-up art space Flash Projects in London. "The collaboration between Jean Clemmer and Paco Rabanne was one of the greatest fashion moments of the 1960s," says Christabel Armsden, director of Flash Projects. Photographer Jean Clemmer and fashion designer Paco Rabanne worked together on the book, Nues, which came out in 1969 in Paris and went on to obtain a cult status.*
It is really fascinating to look at these erotic photographs that were really controversial at the time and compare them to the exaggeratedly sex-obsessed, agressive editorials of our age. I find them touchingly innocent and strikingly beautiful. What do you think?

ReplyDeletenagyon jók! :) A második és negyedik a kedvencem. Valóban ma ez már nem is lepne meg senkit.
ReplyDeleteThese are definitely quite innocent compared to what we see now. Love them a lot - they seem to be more sincere. A lot of the aggressive sexuality in today's editorials seems quite fake and only meant to provoke without much thought.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful images...thanks for sharing!
