Hello Oxford!

Hey, lovelies, how was your weekend? I arrived in Oxford a few hours ago and am enjoying the beautiful, sunny weather here. The city is beautiful and I am staying at the Malmaison, which is a hotel in the Oxford Castle. I could live without the workshops during the week and take walks around this beautiful place, but corporate life is about hard work and hey, that is what I am here for. I hope I will have some time for sightseeing and shopping though.

Once again, I am so sorry for having been a bad blogger lately. During my time here I will have the opportunity to catch up with my reading and pay visits to your awesome blogs. Thank you for your love; words can not tell how much it means to me.

My busy life has not allowed me to do a lot of shopping lately, but I still try. Meet my new friends. I had to update my corporate wardrobe; I tend to forget that I am not allowed to wear anything to the office. *sigh* I looked for timeless chic and I found these beauties. What do you think?

Oh! You Pretty Things

Do you remember Dóra? I am sure you do. Her fall/winter 2010 luxury prêt-à-porter collection is inspired by the colors and forms of the hidden underwater world. Tones of blues, greens accompany shiny water-like or fish-like materials, scales decorate trendy minimalist silhouettes. A reference to glam rock, specifically David Bowie's wardrobe can be noticed in the pieces. In the new collection she designed shoes and fashion jewelry too. Love at first sight.

Dóra won the Design am Rhein competition with her collection organized by IGEDO in cooperation with the Fashion and Design Academy in February 2010 in Düsseldorf in the course of the CPD International Fair for Womenswear & Accessories. I am so proud of her!

The collection has been introduced in Nolca Fashion Week as well as New York in February.

You can find Dóra and her creations on her website and Facebook fan page.

Hey, lovelies, how is your week going? I am sorry for having been a bad blogger lately, life seems to be a mess and my time is not enough for everything I wish to do. I miss you so much! Thank you so much for your birthday wishes, words can not tell how much they mean to me. My presents are still waiting for being photographed and shared with you. I had such a happy birthday.

My life will be a mess in the next few weeks, so no change in that. I will be in Oxford, UK between April 25 and May 1. I have never been to Oxford before- UK lovelies, do you have any tips? I will attend workshops during the day, but my evenings will be free. I will stay at the Malmaison- if you are around Oxford, I am up for a drink!

Now, onto the interesting stuff. Jan Masny (I love the name; masni means bow in Hungarian) is a London based commercial fashion photographer who shot this beautifully inspiring monochromatic Ballerina series. You know I love anything monochrome- these photos are elegant, dramatic and extremely fierce. What do you think?

I make a wish today

Update: Yes, it is my birthday today... thank you for your love. x

My girl

Gia was the most beautiful girl I have ever seen. Her wonderful spirit, her street smart attitude and coolness with a touch of vulnerability in her eyes; the self-destruction that was in her make me feel her pain. So you see, I am somehow attracted to troubled souls like Kurt, Daul, Gia... that is probably because I have been troubled too.

And the winner is...

... my girl Kristin! I am so happy for you, darling! I am sure you will look fabulous in one of these Alexia Admor beauties. I will contact you shortly for delivery address.

Thank you all for being my dedicated readers- you rock!

I wish you a lovely week with girly (or other) treats, darlings. x

I am not the only one

Why live a real life
I just want to run away
I just want to sleep forever

Listening to Nirvana, as always when I want my bad thoughts to blow up, to dissolve, to fall apart; and I lie on the floor and completely open myself to the music and I let it wash all through me because it is beautiful. Beautiful, painful, painful, painful. I am not the only one, I am not the only one, I am not the only one.
